About Us

Coloraccy is a free color accessibility tool that helps designers and developers create WCAG-compliant, accessible color palettes and design inclusive digital experiences.

About Coloraccy

A free, precision color tool built for designers and developers who care about accuracy and accessibility.

Coloraccy is a browser-based color toolkit designed to remove the friction from professional color work. From palette generation to gradient creation, color space conversion, and WCAG accessibility checking—every feature is built around one idea: color should be precise, accessible, and effortless.

We built Coloraccy because the best color tools were either locked behind expensive subscriptions or buried inside bulky software. Our goal is to give every creator—freelancer, startup, or large design team—access to the same level of color accuracy as professional studios.

Our Mission

Making professional color tools free and accessible to every creator.

Color is not decoration. It communicates trust, urgency, warmth, and clarity. It determines whether a button gets clicked, a form gets submitted, or a user stays on a page. For people with visual impairments, color contrast is the difference between a product that works and one that doesn't.

Coloraccy's mission is to make the tools that enable this level of color precision available to everyone—without paywalls, without software installs, and without a steep learning curve. We believe that high-quality color work should not be a privilege reserved for those who can afford professional software.

We measure success by:

  • Accessibility compliance rates in user-generated palettes
  • Accuracy of color space conversions versus ISO standards
  • Time saved per designer in daily color workflows
  • Number of creators who previously had no dedicated color tool

What Coloraccy Offers

A focused set of color tools—each one built for accuracy, speed, and real-world use.

Mathematically Harmonious Palettes

Every palette generated on Coloraccy is built on proven color theory—complementary, triadic, and analogous relationships calculated to the decimal. No guesswork, no randomness. Just colors that work together every single time.

Real-Time WCAG Accessibility Checks

Coloraccy checks contrast ratios against WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA guidelines in real time. Whether you're designing a mobile app or a corporate website, you'll know instantly if your color choices meet accessibility standards.

Gradient Engine Without Dead Zones

Most gradient tools produce muddy, gray midpoints. Coloraccy's gradient engine uses perceptual color space interpolation to ensure every step of your gradient stays vivid, clean, and intentional.

Accurate Color Space Conversions

Convert between HEX, RGB, HSL, HSB, CMYK, and LAB with mathematical accuracy. What you design on screen is exactly what gets printed, coded, or shipped—every time.

Who Uses Coloraccy

Built for a wide range of creative and technical professionals.

UI & UX Designers

Generate accessible color palettes for design systems, check contrast for every component, and maintain brand consistency across screens and platforms.

Front-End Developers

Convert colors between formats instantly, pick the right CSS gradient values, and verify that your implementation meets WCAG standards before it goes to production.

Brand & Marketing Teams

Extract exact brand colors, explore complementary color combinations for campaigns, and ensure visual consistency across digital and print materials.

The Science Behind the Tools

Why mathematical precision matters in color design.

Human vision does not perceive color linearly. Two colors that appear equidistant on a color wheel may produce very different levels of contrast when placed on a screen. This is why many color tools—even popular ones—produce gradients that turn gray in the middle, or palettes that look cohesive on a swatch but clash in practice.

Coloraccy uses perceptual color models—including OKLCH and LAB—to ensure that color relationships, gradient steps, and contrast ratios are calculated the way the human eye actually experiences them, not the way raw RGB numbers suggest they should look. The result is a tool that produces output consistent with how color appears in the real world.

All color space conversions on Coloraccy are validated against IEC and ICC standards. We test regularly against known reference values to ensure that no rounding errors or approximations creep in—a critical requirement for any professional production workflow.

How We Build

Our process for creating tools that professionals trust.

01

Start with Color Science

Every tool we build begins with color science—color theory, perceptual models, and accessibility standards. We never prioritize aesthetics over accuracy.

02

Design for Real Workflows

We study how designers and developers actually work. Our interface mirrors real creative thinking: pick a base, explore harmonies, verify contrast, export.

03

Test Against Edge Cases

We stress-test every tool against unusual inputs, extreme contrast ratios, and unsupported color values before release. Edge cases aren't exceptions—they're requirements.

04

Iterate Based on Feedback

Our roadmap is driven by user feedback. Every feature request is evaluated against our core mission: making professional color tools available to everyone.

What We Believe

The principles behind every decision we make at Coloraccy.

Accessibility Is Non-Negotiable

Approximately 300 million people worldwide have some form of color vision deficiency. Every tool we build is designed with this in mind—accessibility is not a checkbox, it's a responsibility.

Free Tools Create Better Designers

When professional-grade color tools are free and open, more designers can do better work. We believe in lowering the barrier to excellence, not monetizing it.

Precision Builds Trust

Designers and developers trust us with their production workflows. We take that seriously. Every algorithm, conversion, and output is held to the highest standard of accuracy.

Privacy & Data

Your design work is yours. We never collect, store, or sell it.

No Account Required

Every tool on Coloraccy works without sign-up. You don't need to create an account, verify an email, or hand over personal information to generate a palette or check a contrast ratio. Open the tool, do the work, close the tab.

No Project Data Stored

Your color palettes, gradients, and conversions are processed entirely in your browser. We do not log or store the colors you work with. Your design decisions stay private—always.
